WHY CREATE HEALING EXISTS
Create Healing was founded in response to persistent burnout patterns across nonprofit organizations. While individual resilience is often emphasized, workplace design is frequently overlooked.
Our work focuses on operational adjustments that improve sustainability without increasing burden on staff.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Burnout prevention is most effective when organizations improve systems rather than expecting individuals to endure more.
Our programs are structured, non-clinical, and focused exclusively on organizational conditions.
WORKING WITH CREATE HEALING
We collaborate with nonprofit leadership teams seeking preventive strategies to strengthen retention and reduce structural strain.
Engagements may include workshops, structured groups, or consultation depending on organizational needs.
ORGANIZATIONAL INFORMATION
Create Healing Initiative is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2025. We currently serve nonprofit organizations in the United States and are developing pilot programs for global nonprofit teams in 2026.
FOUNDER
Kurt Velasco is the Founder and Executive Director of Create Healing. His work centers on identifying structural contributors to nonprofit burnout and translating research into implementable systems changes.
Create Healing began as a mental health awareness initiative and evolved into a systems-focused burnout prevention organization.
He founded the organization to bridge the gap between burnout awareness and operational prevention.

We are committed to strengthening nonprofit sustainability through clearer systems, reduced cognitive overload, and preventive environmental design.
